John is an experienced Trading Compliance Manager with a strong background in the FMCG sector, where he has played a key role in ensuring regulatory adherence across complex supply chains. With a particular focus on customs compliance and the practical implications of the Windsor Framework, John supports businesses in navigating the evolving post-Brexit trade landscape.

He holds a Degree in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management from South East Technological University, and combines academic insight with real-world expertise to deliver compliance solutions that are both strategic and operationally sound. John’s interests lie in the intersection of supply chain efficiency and trade regulation, with a commitment to helping organisations stay compliant while remaining commercially agile.

 Caolán Lyons 

Trade Advisor

Caolan Lyons

Caolán is a trade compliance professional with over six years’ experience across regulatory, FMCG, and public sector environments. Most recently, he supported the implementation of the Windsor Framework, UKIMS/NIRMS, and TSS processes. He has worked extensively in tariff classification, declaration validation, duty risk analysis, and customs data integrity, structured compliance systems that reduced compliance risk by strengthened internal governance across complex supply chains.

Caolán holds a BSc in Political Science & Government and a Level 4 Customs Practitioner Certificate. He is also CPD certified in Data Analytics for Professionals. In his role he applies his practical experience in regulatory interpretation, stakeholder engagement, and compliance system integration to support SMEs in understanding cross-border trade requirements and implementing proportionate, sustainable compliance processes within the evolving economic trading landscape.
